(Note that some parts of my interpretation do not line up with canon lore regarding the jade caste and their roles. Whatever, it’s MY interpretation of the text and I get to decide what’s canon for me, cringe is dead, etc etc)
Your name is RIESEN ANTWIT. You are a GARDENER and HORTICULTURIST; plants are your specialty, and caring for them is your JOB. But oh, that’s only a SECONDARY PASSION of yours. What you want most of all is to TEACH THE NEXT GENERATION, impart your wisdom and knowledge, and nurture the minds and creativity of YOUNGER TROLLS. But you’ve OUTGROWN your homeworld, and were EXILED four sweeps ago. Cut off from the young minds you yearn to teach, you instead LECTURE THE PLANTS in your care. And your MATESPRIT, too, when she occasionally decides to listen in.
You occupy your free time by reading RAINBOW DRINKER NOVELS of the ROMANCE VARIETY, especially those that add in elements of MYSTERY AND HORROR to spice up the romance. Your FAVORITE SERIES is Rainbow’s End, shorthand for a title that grows increasingly longer with each entry, and this is the series for which you WRITE FANFICTION and post under a pseudonym. You occasionally recite “BOOK REPORTS” of the novels you read to the plants, as well. They SEEM TO LIKE IT.
You often FANTASIZE about becoming a rainbow drinker, faking your death, and RETURNING TO ALTERNIA, where you will forever live to educate the wigglers of the empire in your INFINITE, IMMORTAL WISDOM. Of course, you keep these fantasies to yourself. Rainbow drinkers AREN’T REAL, after all, or at least that’s WHAT THEY ALL SAY.

Riesen stands at about 6 feet tall, with wavy shoulder-length hair and horns somewhat resembling mushrooms. She often wears a jade-colored suspender skirt over a black shirt displaying her sign, Virmini, all tied together with a slightly darker green belt, typically with black or jade mary janes to complete the look. She wears lipstick and eyeliner the same shade as her blood, the eyeliner often containing glitter.
For work, she wears black overalls displaying her sign over a jade-colored shirt, darker green gloves, practical slip-on shoes, and a jade bandana draped over her hair.
She seems to be a bit absent-minded and lost in her own world at times, sometimes leading her to stumble and gain scrapes and bruises- you might see her sporting a few bandages on her elbows, knees, or face after such incidents. Don’t mistake her apparent absent-mindedness and caring nature for naivete or harmlessness, however. Only Riesen herself knows how absolutely ruthless she can be, for anyone who’s pushed that side of her hasn’t lived to tell the tale.
There often seems to be a disconnect between how Riesen views herself and how other trolls view her. She sees herself as fierce, independent, not to be tested, while others see her as timid and deferential, not to have her boat rocked, and wonder how she even managed to pass her Ordeals to leave Alternia. Perhaps the only reason they see her this way is that they have yet to rock her boat.
She grew up in the brooding caverns, as most jades do, raised by the older jade teenagers in lieu of the lusii who would choose trolls of other castes to raise, to care for the Mother Grub and the wigglers she produces until it’s time for them to pupate and endure their trials. She was not, however, one of the jades chosen to remain on Alternia in adulthood, midwives kept out of sight of the children and teens, whose sole purpose is to aid the Mother Grub in laying her eggs. As such, she was put through her Ordeals and sent off to Aistea, barely knowing how to function in surface society without the fellow jades she came to regard as siblings. Luckily for Riesen, she’s always been a quick learner.
She uses her talent in horticulture to tend the garden of Zanari Zanris, a blue blood who’s away from hive more often than he’s there, and pays her relatively decently so long as she keeps his garden pristine and perfect, which she is excellent at doing. She lives in a modest hive in the midblood sector of her city.
In addition to her other hobbies, Riesen also enjoys going on daytime walks when very few trolls dare to roam outdoors, basking in the sun’s rays, unfortunately less potent than they are from Alternia given Aistea’s distance from her homeworld. Secretly, she hopes that if she takes in enough sunlight, she’ll eventually transform into a rainbow drinker… but that’s silly, of course she knows that
